THE PTA CORNER….
Are you curious about what is done with your PTA dues? Well, today we are providing you with an update on how your dues, in addition to money generated from fundraising, have benefited Devonshire and other worthy causes in the last two months alone:
- Devonshire now has a lovely new LMC (“Area 68”) that provides a more creative space for our children to learn. At the November PTA meeting, we proudly presented Principal Schmeisser with a check for $2,500 to help offset the cost of this extensive renovation.
- Leukemia is a form of blood cancer that takes many lives every year. The PTA donated $250 to the Leukemia Foundation?, which works to find a cure and better treatment options.
- There are many families experiencing hard economic times. The PTA donated $200 to Helping Hands to assist local families in need.
So, thank you for your financial support of the PTA, and if you have not yet joined, it is not too late. With your support we can continue to do good deeds!!
Please know that you do NOT need to be fluent in English to volunteer or be involved in the PTA. And, if you are shy, don’t worry, we are a very friendly group. EVERYONE is welcome!!
